Just finished removing Mark Levinson...goin Aftermarket ;)
Finally got a break in the weather to remove all the interior speakers in the car.
They are being replace with Deadstock parts from the old Alphasonik company. They had a really nice high end Kevlar collection before the company went under and was purchased by another Audio group a couple years ago.
Im gonna fab up sum door pods to hold them and drop it all in tomorrow if the weather holds up....
Mark Levinson front, rear speakers with OEM sub, next to the new stuffs
I have (Pretty much) this same setup in my GS300...sounds AWESOME

There wasnt much interest when I made this thread a while back...so I didnt bother taking pix for people to follow.
Its not a DIY, just a "take a look at what I did" type post. I dont want to get too much into it and have people try and totally screw their cars up...
anywayz,
as I stated in the op, I was taking the ML stuff out of the car. Well, I figured out that I wanted to keep the ML amp so I re-capped it and added another fan. It ran much better...LOUDER.
The Dash was taken apart and I hacked the OEM harness and part of the factory audio control boards
So I could put in a media player. It plays on the factory nav screen and is hidden behind the OEM door on the dash.
changed it all up recently....

after a while I wanted something "more" , so I swapped in some FOCAL K2's since im not under sponsorship with any car audio companies anymore. I then removed the costomized factory ML amp that I previously re-built and added some stable aftermarket amplifiers.
Then one night I got pulled over because the stereo was playing on the NAV screen. It sits so high that anyone could see it...so I bought a BeatSonic faceplate and rewired everything to install a Double Din deck that runs on Windows Mobile....VERY easy to hack and add cool features to it.
Since I had already hacked the entire car system again, I just needed the faceplate
