they are both great filters, the Motorcraft can be found at auto parts stores for $5, the Nippon Denso is a lot more nowadays, because the made in Japan oversize model has become rather rare.

where did you find the 90915-20004 for sale and how much were they charging for it?

I found this, but now that I took a better look at it, I am not convinced any more... maybe it is for real, maybe not?

However, I also found this, seems promising - advanced synthetic filter media, anti-drain back valve, large size :

Any thoughts?

OK, started researching all this filter and oil stuff and my eyes are starting to bleed...
A few interesting possibilities: AMSOIL ATF ("severe gear 75w-90 - hard to find, but not impossible) and perhaps even AMSOIL "Absolute Efficiency" engine oil.
Now, I am looking at a possibility that one of the long life AMSOIL filters may be able to replace the Denso OEM ones?

Here are some tests if you feel like loosing your eyesight:

and:

This filter test is a few years old, so don't rush to conclusions:

I really can't get excited or concerned if a filter costs $5 or $10. I'm driving a Lexus after all.

Default Confirm fit for the Motorcraft filter?

Amazon and Advance Auto all say that that Motorcraft FL-400S does not fit the 2001-2006 LS430. Can anyone confirm these websites are not accurate?

They do fit. It's just the specs are somewhat different then OEM and this automatically generates a does not fit error.

Right now, I run the Bosch Distance Plus filter with Mobile One synthetic.

I just ordered mine from Amazon, the very Motorcraft that they say does not fit, and it fits perfectly well on my 1990 LS400.

Why are there multiple links to "Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts" in that link above? I'm looking to buy some of these filters but I don't trust that site. I've tried submitting a question but I'm not putting my contact info anywhere on their site.

Does anyone know of any site that sells the 90915-20004 filters?

Are you using a D3300 or another filter?
