I've always heard that Mayas are soft and bend easily. I wish BBS' weren't so expensive otherwise I'd have a set of LM's on all my cars.

Lot of people think Koning are ghetto and suck wheels but in reality Koning is a big wheel maker with some of the best technologies compare to big names such as BBS, Enkei. And I bet Koning maybe even better than some of the wheels cost like 3 or 4 times more.

Yes A.R.E is very good. I used to have them on a Toyota Celica and I ran over potholes and stuffs and nothing ever happened to them at all. Btw, I have owned so many rims throughout the years from BBS, Enkei, OZ, ASA, ARE, HRE, Racing Hart and I can tell you that BBS, Enkei, ASA, ARE are very durable. OZ,HRE, Racing Hart are hit and miss.

Maybe im wrong but I always though American racing were those typical one piece cast wheels

BBS and some of the others are forsure great wheels ,,,but what about work, volk , auto couture ,,modular VIP,,,there are a ton of great forged wheels out .

HRE , GFG, etc...

If you are curious, this is the list of 10 tops aftermarket wheels and once again, Koning and A.R.E are on the list. You may agree or may not agree with the author.

There are some expensive wheels out there those weight more than the cheaper light ones. Jap cars are typical cheaper than German cars. Does that mean they are not as good German ones? Sometime we just pay more attention to brand names and prides and are biased lot of things that we don't really own.

It's real fiction to think there is a " best wheel ". Forged wheels are lighter and stronger, but since they cost a lot more, are they really better ?

Are you really going to notice the benefits of a lighter wheel on a super heavy car like a LS430 ... I doubt it.

What are the real benefits you get when you buy expensive wheels other than cosmetic.
Sort of like whats the best wine, or best violin or best guitar ...

You got it backwards brother........most of the expensive wheels are forged wheels....ie lighter and stronger. Cast wheels = heavy and cheap....there is a reason they cost less, and its not just the name.....the process to make them is less costly for the manufacturer....thus cheaper cost to the consumer.

by the way, his top ten list is almost as ridiculous as the top 5 list......a great example of why you cant believe everything you read on the internet.
