Default Best way to use android phone in 2003 LS430

So I already posted my other thread about my car it has the Nav with ML sound. I have been searching the forum and have looked at the VAISTech, the Mediabridge, the BT35, and the casette adapter (cringe) as options.

I considered the beatsonic and a DD but I love the deep burgundy wood too much to remove that much of the gorgeous stuff and don't really like the twin screen look.

I am even considering purchasing a iphone5 just for easier integration options. I love my GS3 and own 0 Apple devices but I figure a 500 dollar phone is cheaper than a 15K car.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated I want high quality sound and minimal visible wiring I don't want to spend over $500 if possible. I would prefer bluetooth so I am not locked into apple phones.

What is the best solution for my scenario?

I installed the BT35 in my '06 with ML/Nav a few months ago. Love the integration with bluetooth audio streaming, phone functions, and steering wheel controls - BUT unfortunately the sound quality sucks badly enough that i don't even want to use it. Sadly, a decent cassette adapter sounds much better.

So I just ordered an iSimple ISTY571, plus the iSimple Bluetooth add-on. Ordered both from Amazon, should be here tomorrow but I probably won't get around to installing until the weekend.

Will reply back and let you know how it goes.

Grom, download an app on your android and go. I installed it in my wifes car and she loves it. Displays songs on nav screen, steering wheel controls work, sound quality is good, charge your phone while listening to your music.

the $135 one, dont buy any cables if you plan using your Android just get like a 3 foot usb to adnroid mini cable and the usb part plugs into grom. it has two outputs so you can even have ipod cable hooked up at the same time.

Did you get the bluetooth add on as well?

How well and how responsive are the steering wheel controls with the android app?

Thanks after watching the videos on their site and seeing your firsthand experience I ordered it along with the bluetooth adapter. Even used a coupon for $10 bucks off. So shipping only cost me $2.

Got a local guy who will install for $100 and then I have everything I want in my car!

Good to hear you will like it, the install is very easy though, it only took me less then an hour but if you dont feel comfortable taking off the shifter surround i understand.

MDSC,
How involved was installation?? does the whole stereo assembly has to come off to gain access to the back??/ Thanks for sharing.

The shifter assembly and mic installation are what I am hesitant about I have done my share of stereo installs and did a bluetooth, USB, and mic install but that was in a 1994 5 series and only had to run the cable into the glove box.

Vaistech is designed for iphones? What about this: http://www.vaistech.com/dev/iVIC-droid.php
But it's way too expensive compared to GROM. I might get that too!

Edit: Vaistech is for most Lexus 2006-2012 models. Well, I got 2001... so it's a no-go for me.
