Weird how I see this post, as I upgraded to an iPhone 5 and cannot pair up with my car's bluetooth. I have already cleared out all phones in memory, tried changing the passcode, Bluetooth ID, etc.. and still cannot get it to work. It sees the handsfree system on my phone, but when i click it, it just sits there waiting to connect, then fails. So frustrating..... any ideas ? I have tried rebooting phone, turning off car and back on.. etc to no avail

I've got a related bluetooth question. I'm considering moving from my 03 to an 05 or 06.....or may take the leap to a 460....just don't know yet...

Anyway, when I'm looking at interior pics of 05 and 06 430's how can I tell if it has bluetooth?

Thanks........

It's hard to tell just by looking at pictures. If you get a chance to spend time inside of the car there are buttons on left side of the steering wheel. One of the buttons will bring up the recent call list.

I've personally never tried the iPhone 5. My mom has one and I might be able to borrow it and see if I can get it to pair up. I can let you know in the next day or two what I find out.

My 2004 LS wouldn't pair to my current smart phone ,after reading the treads on this problem especially with Verizon Wireless .
I dug out all my old phones and found one that worked after putting my contacts into the Samsung Alias 2 SCH-U750 , I was able to pair the phone and download all contacts ok . Now I have to remember where I put it if I ever need to edit or add a contact.

I hear you frustration. I encountered the same problem and I kept working with it and it finally paired up and has stayed paired up. There wasn't anything I did differently than what you've done. When I first got the car, used, it paired up and I didn't do anything.

Look under the steering wheel and see if it has the cell phone switch. It's the bottom switch and has a fin between it and the switch that allows you to talk to the maps, etc. Also, try to hook your phone up on the car and see if it works.
