Default Datasystem Controller "HIGH HEIGHT" message...possible fix?

Hey everyone,

I just installed my datasystem controller for my 2004 UL and everything seems to be working great except for the gauge cluster throwing "HIGH HEIGHT" message randomly when I go above or below 60mph. I know I am not the only one having this issue on here, and I was just wondering if anyone found a fix for this problem.

I have extended the speed sensor harness and have it plugged behind the glove box, maybe un-plugging that might fix this problem? Anyone that have not hooked up the speed sensor harness and don't have this "high height" message popping up?

I guess you know that the car tries to lower itself at speed? If it cannot do this then you may get this message. If the speed sensor is unplugged then it would make sense for the high height warning to go away.

Yes, I am aware that 04-06 model lowers themselves when hits speed 60mph hence the high height sign. I am just curious if there's a fix for this or someone actually tried to install the datasystem controller without hooking up the sensor to see if they still have the same problem.

I had mine hooked up without the sensor and don't recall having that issue

I never hooked up the speed sensor. I don't notice it if it does it on my car...it'll turn on once or twice when I switch height settings, but it doesn't bother me since it's not always showing

Thank you for your input. So the message doesn't pop up when you are driving and only pop up when you are changing the height correct?

I can't say I've ever noticed it while driving. My controller shows me its working at 60mph+, but i don't notice anything on my dash unless i am telling it to lower or raise

Same experience here (I too do not have the speed sensor hooked up).

I just wanted to give an update with this so in case someone near future wanted to find out. I unplugged the speed sensor and height hi message disappeared. If you are installing the controller, don't even bother hooking up the speed sensor =)

The connector/socket for the speed sensor is located behind the glove box. Pretty easy to pull it to access everything.

OK

That's all, nothing to configure on the controller?

Denis.
