Don't mean to burst anyone's bubble or discourage anyone from buying ... in the interest of full disclosure only, I bought these mats awhile ago - the carpet pile is not nearly as thick as my OEM mats in either of my LSs. Just as in with home carpeting, deeper pile carpet costs more. Compare part numbers and you'll see that these charcoal mats have a completely different part number (other than just the color) than OEM deep pile mats.

tom57,i figured these were going to be less quality then oem mats.i ordered these for my mr2 as i go through mats in that car pretty quick,it looks like these mats have a heel pad so that will help my case.
these mats might be chinese knock offs.when they show up i will see the difference as my ls mats are oem.

jimbosr1, these will be perfect for your purposes. They do have the heel pad (like OEM in '01) which is hard to find in OEM mats. I use them for winter months here.

And these are not Chinese knock offs ... they come in a Lexus wrapper with a verifiable Lexus part number.

They're not knockoffs. Not as thick and rich as the deluxe sets, true, but still a great value for the price. And a big improvement over a worn down set. (and they came with a set of clips, which were missing from my 11-year-old car)

Yes, they come with floor clips. Any Lexus / Toyota dealer will give you floor mat clips - FREE. Floor mats not attached to floor getting pushed into gas pedal were at the heart of Toyota's defense in the unintended acceleration cases.

i received the package today and i ordered 2 sets and only received 1 set so will see how that goes.
the quality of these mats are well below the oem ones .i would say that if these are not chinese knockoffs they are as close as you can come to knockoffs.even the clear packaging doesnt look like anything lexus would use.how ever they are good enough to put in my 86 mr2.but i wouldnt put these in my lexus unless i lived in the snowy climate or a dirt road.but at 44 dollars i am not complaining LOL.
also these did not come with floor clips.

I haven't even tried yet. I'll do it next week some time and let you know how it goes. Mine came in a Toyota bag. The driver's mat does have what seem to be a square of extra padding where the heel of your foot regularly rest. The pile doesn't seem to be as thick as OEM. Does this seem like the same thing you received from them?

bob, mine came in what looked like a dry cleaners coat bag with a sticker with the part number on it.
the drivers mat does have a heel pad on it.if you flip the drivers mat over there isnt any nubs where the heel pad is which to me is kind of funny.go on there web site and fill out a rma and see what happens.its funny these guys only sent 1 when it states on there invoice 2 ea.i will let you know if i get my 2nd set.

For $16 don't know how their making any money off them. Do they only cost $3 to make? Also, even though they have a Lexus part sticker are we at a conclusion that these are not oem mats right?

Yeah, I can't believe the price would be so low and be OEM as well. Maybe Lexus outsourced and realized after ordering a ton of them that they are poor quality and they are just trying to get rid of them.

Reviews mention how poor the quality is here too.
