Air suspension on a 10+ year old car located up North. Rubber ages over time and 10 years is a long time. Pretty risky...suggest you pass unless you factor in replacement cost for new suspension bags if you plan on driving it for a while.

and even for the bags alone its still 1k to replace? JUST for the bag? i know iv already asked, but anyone in this thread ever have any problem with their factory air? my buddys LS430 up here has 210k on it and he hasent has a issue with any of his, and his car tucks wheels. Also, iv been looking around alot, but i have found any good coilovers for these cars that people have said they liked and still give the car a good ride but still gives a good drop. what are some other features that the UL's have that others do not?? thanks so much for your help guys.

I wouldn't spend 12.5k on a car that can't even stand up straight.

Default jus my thoughts

No need to add about the bags; I would purchase it and change the wheels to the 05-06 18 inch hyper, Adds a touch of class. However, just for pre-cautions ask the seller if you can have the car checked out by a certified Lex mechanic.

i dont think the car is standing weird, i think that because it has after market wheels they likely don't fit nearly as well as the oem ones and he has to have the car all raised up so it dosent rub. those wheels gotta go.

Yes, I just bought my 1st Lexus ~3 weeks ago. It is an LS 430 with UL as well (2003 Millenium Silver Metalix, Bordeaux wood w/ black anilin perforated leather). Mine has 72k miles and was in great shape - unfortunately it does have the rattling subwoofer (that I didn't discover until after I bought it) and I had to spend a little extra to replace gold trimmed emblems and wheel caps (I much prefer the chrome). I didn't think to check the air suspension (I probably should have - but probably wouldn't have even known what to look for).

+1 for the UL options. I LOVE them all. I entertained my kids with the memo recording feature for nearly 2 hours on the road. The automatic closing doors/trunk when not securely shut all the way is a great touch. It was my 1st time using dynamic cruise control as well - almost puts the car in autopilot on the freeway. It hasn't even been a month and I'm so attached to the car already - I'm still in the honeymoon phase. I literally am looking for opportunities for my wife to drive so I can ride in the back and enjoy all the gizmos - she loves them too. The poor front passenger seat isn't going to get much attention. I still haven't even tried several of the features. I feel like I want to buy & sell these LS 430's for a living. I'm now waiting for some touch up paint to arrive to bring the bumpers and hood up back up to looking brand new. I guess the "pursuit for perfection" is contagious.

What is the typical mileage in which the air suspension breaks down and needs to be replaced for UL models? THere's probably a thread for that! I'll look around. Great site!
