I have 04 LS430 and have disabled regular DRL as they look very yellow when on and converting them to LED was not an option as I didn't want to loose high beams.

VLEDS.COM just came out with V3 switchback leds. I am thinking about converting front turn signals to dual role DRL/turn signals. Anyone tried that approach before?

These do look cool, wouldn't it be better to just keep them where the regular DRLs go?

Not for me. I would loose high beams. As well I like DRL more toward edge of the facial. Less cross-eye look and as well more modern.

Meantime I have sold my LS and bought an 08 GS350. I have done a little different set up there. I have converted turn signals to LEDs and then made my fog lights DRLs (disabled regular DRLs). Works perfectly and you can see pictures in DIY section in GS350 forum. The reason I went this route was because of limited space and as well vleds has shortage of the new bulbs and cannot ship them for the past 3 months.
