I'm looking to install a Boss BV9986BI Bluetooth - Enabled In-Dash DVD/MP3/CD AM/FM Receiver. I was thinking I could just pop it in where the 6 disc changer is. But I don't know if it will fit, or if the screen will clear the entrance.

This is a video with a guy that has a 2001 Nissian who has it. It all looks good but I really don't know and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.

I'm considering doing something similar with my LS. You may want to check with a local stereo shop and measure a similar head unit to see if it will fit. There is a video on YouTube that shows an a flip-out DVD player mounted where the six disc changer is.

i think the issue your going to run into is that the deck fits too far back and the back of the screen will hit where the 6 disc entrance meets your vents. i have a single din replacing the 6 disc and there is some modification to the door and around the bezel of the deck to make it fit. other than that it looks good

Do you have any pics? I want to get my single DIN headunit installed soon and was hoping to keep the disk changer door.

Well, I'm halfway through with installing my Boss audio head unit. It turns out that all my Mark Levinson door speakers had been destroyed from 11 years of use and no repair. My Amp was also shot. So i'm bypassing my amp completely and hooking the the two new door speakers directly to my head unit because it has a built in amp with 85 watts per channel.
I'm going to install 6x9's in the back, and run wires to install an amp and 2 new subs.
It's not even finished and this car sounds better than it ever has before.
Also, to install this massive thing, I had to cut the door off the 6 disc changer bay, but I don't really care to much. It still looks fine and the screen comes out perfectly.
