My FM radio reception is crap. From reading this forum, it appears that the antenna on the roof with the stub sticking up (which us broken off) does nothing for the FM radio. So where is the FM radio antenna? Could it be in the rear window. My car has some pretty serious tinting installed in the windows and I'm thinking maybe that might affect it.

Yes, the radio antenna is inside the rear window. I am pretty sure metalic tints will definitely interfere with your radio reception.

FM signal these days is super compressed crap - 6khz total band width...why bother?...and even if the signal was decent not sure how people can sit and listen to non stop commercials without wanting to drive off a cliff.

Forget FM, spend some $ to get satellite installed or install an ipod interface and listen to your own tunes.
