Cup Holder Won't Open; Napkin Stuck Inside. Difficult to Fix?

Takes 15 seconds to remove shift *** (twist until comes off), without which you cannot get the chrome trim off and therefore cannot fully remove wood trim under that. You may be able to hold it all up semi-removed, but why bother when taking off the shift **** takes less time than reading this? Also, when you get the wood off, why not treat it to a little meguiares scratch-X 2.0 and a nice coat of paint sealant or wax... while it's off!

Just saying...

I had the same problem. I used a hanger and a flashlight to remove the napkin. It still sticks on occasion, but I just use a letter opener to pop it open. I leave it open all the time and tell the car wash people not to close it. However, it's just a simple pry at the front with the letter opener to pop it back open. Cost = $ 0
