Red face Nav Disk Won't Eject LS430 2002

Got error message "Unable to read data. Check if map DVD is correct." Removed drive unit face in trunk and pushed eject button but it would not eject. Took whole unit our and removed cover and looked at dvd drive and disc spins. Put unit back in and tried again and still unit will not eject nav disc. disc was spinning and I saw a red light in there.
Is there a way to eject the disc so I can see if it is damaged and also clean lens?

I read a lot of threads and did not see how to eject the disc if it is stuck.
Are there hidden menus to do this?

Thanks
Bill

Default NAV disk eject issue or loses location

I just had the same thing happen to me. I couldn't get it to eject, so I took off the faceplate on the trunk mounted drive unit (5 EZ to push tabs), manually pushed in the 2 micro-switches, & EJECT it did.
The slide switch must not be pushing correctly what it should be. Anyway, I had problems with the NAV unit losing location & also bad reads; I had 2 different disks that were bad .
Inserted 3'rd disk I had, & NAV actually figured out my location without me telling it. Also, I'd like to remind anyone that it can't reject without power, so remember to have the key on Acc.
