Compressed foam in seat/air cooled seat poor air flow
I have a 01 ls430 UL. The drivers seat air flow for the cooled seat is minimal. I replaced the filter to the seat blower anf got a slight improvement but read in another post that the seat foam gets comprssed causing reduced air flow. This makes sense to me because I notice that if I lean forward just a but there is a definite increase in cooling to the back cushion.
So I would like to know if anyine has fixed/addressed this successfully.
I have a upholstry shop owner friend who is perfectly willing to take the seat cover off and replace or insert foam wherever I wish (he is a true professional and I know he would do a good job).
If you know, please advise what type of foam to use and where to put it.
Many thanks.

You can order the OEM seat cushion from Sewell Lexus. Call Darren in their parts dept. for the correct left and right part numbers.

*** Warning *** Don't expect sitting-on-an-iceberg cooling. It appears the LS430 seat cooling was designed to be very mild at best, unlike other cars like the Cadillac DTS, Lincoln MKZ, or even my new GS.

Raise seat bottom to the highest position and you will see a tab on bottom of seat blower housing... I think you pull down the bracket if I remember correctly and you will see the filter. Don't expect much air flow difference when you replace this however... good luck!
