The other day I noticed a damp, musty smell in my car. It's been raining (monsoon season in Arizona right now) and the temps are still up in the high 90s-100s. I thought it might be the AC - next day I notice the odor is noticeably stronger and realize the floor boards are wet - the driver's side in front and the passenger side, front and back. I parked the car in the garage running, with the AC on for about five minutes - I noticed two small puddles of water underneath the AC drain tubes - the puddle on the right side was noticeably larger than the puddle on the left - I figured since the puddle was smaller on the left and the interior of the car was much more damp on the left side, this would mean I have an AC leak somewhere in the car - at least that's what I can up with...

What do you guys think? As I said earlier, it's been raining here hard at times (~10 minutes or so) and I might have a leak somewhere but I don't think that's the case given that the wetness is so widespread - anyone have thoughts or suggestions on how to trouble shoot? Thanks!

I would check your front window check it for any water marks I had a car with the same problem it wasnt the AC it was the rain leaking in through the front window I was getting the same smell too.

check you drain tubes to see if one or more is cloged.

Agreed, I would do This.

I had the same problem with a previous car and the drain tube was clogged. I had a mechanic take the air hose and blew the tube free of the debris and problem was solved

out of my own curiosity, what would the tubes be plugged with? just little clumps of AC fluid?
