2001 with 147,000. Just usual stuff, Battery, timing belt. Put slotted and drilled front rotors on the car. Stops amazing now and no more warped rotors from the wife. The cars are solid. Will buy another one at 200,000.
Love the car but before we bought someone did a decent die job of leather which has now gone pretty bad.
Would like to get into a 2005 with nav and heated and cooled seats. Love seeing these cars at Carmax with 80k and they are considered value budget cars!!! at 100k they just got broken in!!!

Funny side story. I sold a 2000 LX 470 recently with 130,000 on it to upgraded to a 570. Couple who was buying wanted to ship it to a summer home in Montana. They pulled up in a new Benz SUV. After the wife test drove my 470 she told her husband she liked it more than the new Benz SUV. He was NOT happy. They bought it. Wonder if Benz got shipped to Montana????

I am no wheel expert but to me these look like two piece 18" wheels. Outer rim is steel and spokes are painted. I can't find a separation where spokes meet the rim though. Front and backs have 0.5" width difference.
I like how to they look but the spokes have lot of rash around the lug nut wells. I have used the touchup paint but it gets rash again when it is time for tire rotation.
No sure of the brand as they were bought used.

Just wanted to inform you guys of an interesting conversation I had with a local SoCal Lexus Parts guy.

While I was purchasing a wheel lock key for newly acquired 05 LS430, he asked how many miles I had on it. 122k

His replied that 122k was nothing on a LS430. A customer of his just came by with 600K! on his car. The most important and vital thing to keep them running long is TB/Water Pump every 100k. Other than that, they're bullet proof.

I was thinking 300k would have been good in my mind. Time will tell.

I have 148,000 on my '02 and it runs great. I've only put M1 full syn in every 5,000(twice so far) and run Chevron Techron fuel additive. I hope that is ok to do! Also, I've cleaned the throttle body plate and that made it run real smooth... the throttle/acceleration is much smoother from a dead start. I didn't fully take apart the throttle body for the detailed cleaning.. I only opened the throttle body plate and made it look new as far inside as I could reach. It had major buildup that completely ruined an entire rag of mine.

Anyway, the car is sitting low in the driver side rear. It's about 2 inches lower, so is this small amount fairly normal? I'm wondering if this suspension is independent?? What am I looking at replacing suspension wise around 200K? Obviously, if the car isn't showing problems I would just drive it but maybe around this mileage certain things should be looked at? Any advice based on experience is appreciated!! Thank you my brothers!

I have an 04 with 73K miles on it and I was also thinking 250-300k would be a great goal. My timing belt is already done because of the age of the car so I will continue to service it on time. IMO the best cars on the planet! Most comfortable and dont you think a better looking car than the 460's? If I paid 75K for a new one and had an ES350 pull up next to me I would feel a little gipped

300K miles on this car is nothing. I have worked on a lot of LS400 and 430's with over 500K. I have 353K on my old 2001 RX and it's a 6 cylinder. Way more stress than the 4.3

How many miles on your 06 LS? How does someone get to 500K on any car???
You must be the ultimate traveling salesman to achieve that!

I have a Town Car, put into service 25 months ago, with 215,000 miles. LS430 hasn't seen much use lately, now up to 334,000 miles.

You high mileage folks. Are you doing drain and refills on your transmission? This has been the tried and true method for getting extended transmission longevity in the LS400. Forum. 04 - 06 is a much more complicated process but does not negate the need to change degrading fluid.
