Only you can answer that question. Some people can drive 15 hours or 1,000 miles without a problem (me in my LS) and some people fall asleep driving to work.

I had read somewhere that fatigue from driving has some to do with the natural frequency of the vehicle on the road. Much like fatigue from vibration on parts, same with our body. We have this natural rhythm that makes our bodies tired.

For me, I can't explain it, but being in same car, I can drive for 10 hours straight (with fuel break) and not feel tired, but once I'm in the passenger seat, I'm out within 5 minutes.

How long you can last is all based on your own driving experience with other vehicles. Do you tend to be able to drive long distances, if so, then you should be more able to with the LS because it's smooth and comfy. If you're a sleeper behind the wheel, the LS might be bad because it's so smooth and you might doze off behind the wheel.

Smoothness of the LS in the case can be both good, and bad, depending on your driving habit and body's ability to connect with those natural frequencies.

A few years ago I drove a beat up 26 ft moving truck loaded to the gills with a house full of furniture non-stop about 825 miles - mostly on I-20 in the deep South. Scariest thing I have ever done in driving - I was 110% wide awake all 17-18 hours of that. Every significant bump made the truck try to change lanes all by itself. In the LS430 its so smooth and quiet falling asleep is a real concern on longer trips.

I spend my summers in Port Allegany Pa but live in Fort Myers Fl. For the last three years I have driven straight thru going home towing a trailer with a 725 motorcycle on it. The trip is about 1350 miles and takes about 22 hours. Not bad for an old guy huh. The LS is so comfortable to drive and satellite radio is so great to listen to. The car is rated to tow 2000 lbs. I tow about 1400 lbs. Great machine...03 with 92K on it

We have driven the LS from Raleigh to Ft Myers a few times, and from Raleigh to Panama City, FL. I have also gone from Raleigh to Atlanta. The car will get 550+ miles on a tank at steady freeway speeds and the seats offer plenty of adjustment to make the back/butt fatigue low. The FL trips were 800+ miles and we do those in one shot, with food stops and a gas stop. The Atlanta run is straight through with no stops.

We drove my wife's '12 RX 350 from here to Miami and back (return was a straight shot) and it was awful. My back was killing me, and i couldn't wait to get out of the car!

Kansas to Jersey in one go, ~1300 miles. The LS took it like a champ although at one point my blower fan turned off for about an hour. Overall I couldnt ask for a better car to cruise in, even though after about 26 hours of driving I was about to go insane haha.

I thought I'd pop back for the trip update...
In the event, we wound up needing to take both of our cars in caravan fashion. My significant other drove the 430 and I endured the torture of the Miata...1200 mile in 2 days. She had a delightful drive and the 700 miles we put in the second day was no problem at all. For me, on the other hand, the 450 miles of the first day was almost unbearable as we got stuck in stop-and-go traffic for an hour leaving NYC, and the clutching and braking was rough on my legs - I felt like a cripple as I crawled out of the car on breaks. The second day wasn't quite as bad thanks to cruise control and motrin...

I've never driven in LAX, but I can't imagine that traffic there sucking any more than 95 in CT, turnpike during rush hour, and whatever horrific road that leads to DC is. Back in '95, on a college trip, I drove from Boston down to DC in my '92 Integra GSR and talk about a trip from hell. Stuck on 95, stuck on TPKE, and then of course D.C. was hell too. I thought I would leave on a Sat. morning at 7:00 and beat traffic, of course not. It took me over 10 hours to get from Boston to DC, when normally I was doing it in about 7 hours 20 min.

Atleast you got to Denver safe. So you heading back, or this was one-way trip?

2 weeks ago i drove my 05 UL from Central NJ to Fort Worth, TX straight (1550 miles in 22.5 hrs nonstop)...Stopped only for Fill ups 2-3 times, The Best cruiser for long trips period, Averaged about 26-27MPG on the highway with 4 people and trunk full of luggage.

I put 900 miles on my '02 yesterday at 70-75mph, 26 mpg. Less fatigue than anything I have ever driven, fantastic road machine, impeccable quality of workmanship and materials, not a single squeak or rattle.

Columbus, Ga to DC (day 1), DC to Upstate NY (day 2) and had a blast doing it. XM on and laser cruise set to 75-80mph. Nice ride...

I just did the 900 mile return trip with less fatigue than anything else I have driven. I think the quietness of my LS contributes as much to the lack of fatigue as the smooth ride does. 15 hours behind the wheel....I now have the perfect car for it.

I drove from Seattle to San Francisco straight which was 13 hours just fine, left at 1 A.M. Then got back into town Monday night. Felt good no fatigue. Quiet and smooth ride there and back.
