Bought a 2004 with 66k on it in April. Paid 16K. Perfect condition with full dealer service records. However it was purchased from family member so we took a lower KBB value and did the deal. So may not be apples to apples comparison for you. Sorry.

There seems to be a big price variation btwn. '01-'06 LS430s. ($12k-$25k) Since they are all essentially the same car, I'm betting that typical Toyota reliability will prove the older, less expensive ones are the best buys.
I wish I had an '06, but my '02, having been garaged and pampered, should be around for just as long as most '05 s and '06 s. Time will tell.
