Black Cherry LS430

* The acrylic finish was gone on some of the wood paneling which was really strange and the interior had quite a funk to it. Not quite a tobacco smell but it really stunk. It was a shame because at first glance I really liked the Black Cherry color much better than I thought I would. To top it off when I sat behind the wheel I realized that the shifter **** was turned backwards.
Oh well...on to the next one. Thanks for all of the great comments!

I guess the car was far from being "Pampered".
It amazes me how some people just flat out lie about the condition of cars they are trying to sell. As far as dealers are concerned I've found that Lexus dealers are pretty accurate as to the condition of the cars. Other major car dealers its just another used car but every smaller used car dealer I've looked at doesn't know what a nice clean car is and I'd never buy a car from one.

I hope you find and love what you get. I have owned my LS for 10 years and its like it is for all of us, once you have this car, you lose track of time. I cant believe its 10 years later and I have 125.500 miles on my LS430 Black Cherry! The years blew by because the car puts you were you need to be. Yes, technology has advancements since my car was hot and new but, this car makes up for it by being reliable and comfortable and despite the new features being absent and the paint not being brand new, Im were I want to be and can see me in this LS until it no longer can function or maybe i'll put in a new engine and transmission when they go, whatever you buy, welcome to the luxury car that puts you were you need to be.
Rather LS400/430/460, you wont go wrong. Just do the services and the car will pay you back with unawareness of the years going by because its so reliable and puts you were you need to be!!!

Update: I put a deposit down on a 2004 LS430 Cypress Green with Parchment interior. 64K miles; new Michelin's; 60K service already done by dealer. Car is near perfect! Not sure what trim level it is. Definitely not an Ultra but has Nav and Bluetooth! Very happy; probably picking it up Monday! Thanks for all the feedback; I will definitely post some nice pics next week!

Sounds awesome. Glad things worked out for you fellow member. These cars treat you very good if taken care of. The miles on yours sound unreal, great find!!! Be sure to do a carfax and or a Lexus dealer service check on the car via VIN# fellow member. Better safe than sorry!!! LGNM

Sounds like an excellent catch - best of luck with it. One of my favorite LS colors...very elegant.

Congrats on the find. I like cypress pearl. In 2004, the tan interior choices were cashmere (darker tan on ML & premium trim levels) or ecru (cream color on CL & UL trim levels).
