Help..........low tire pressure screwup..
Ok...I have an 04 LS430 and do not have the electronic air pressure monitors.........I went to Sears and the morons (unbeknownst to me) put one on the tire they repaired. For 2 months OK.....when the tire pressure dropped I get the dash lights..........the tires are the right pressure now but CANNOT TURN OFF WARNING LIGHTS...................................MY MODEL DOES NOT HAVE THE RESET AS SHOWN IN THE MANUAL AND I CANNOT TURN IT OFF BY DRIVING..........WHAT TO DO?????:

Installing an in tire pressure sensor wireless sending unit in a tire on an LS would have absolutely no affect on an LS430 TPS system because the LS does not have any way to read or receive the signal from a wireless pressure sensor.
Instead the LS 430 uses an ABS based system that monitors tire pressure indirectly by measuring the rotation of each tire detecting small changes in the rotation of each tire (means the tire is losing pressure and getting physically smaller) relative to the rotation of a full pressure tire which is larger and rotates less per a smaller size tire at same speed. Obviously the the LS430 TPS warning system can only monitor tires while the car is actually moving using this system.
So the LS430 TPS system measures only tire size and does not in any way measure tire pressure - instead it assumes any difference in size means a difference in pressure because a tire physically expands and contracts as its pressure changes. Its an imperfect system that is obsolete at this point and has been replaced in the LS460 by in tire pressure sensors and a wireless TPS monitor receiver in the car that monitors tire pressure in each individual tire.
If the TPS fault light is on in the LS430 it means one of the four drive tires has changed physical size relative to its size the last time the system was initialized. Also the the system does not and cannot monitor the spare. The reset switch is way under the dash so it is very hard to locate.
BTW many modern TPS warning systems with individual in wheel wireless sensors are a PITA, prone to errors and breakdown - many people dislike them and actually end up removing them from the car.
