qgwinct, yes, the rectangular piece around the logo is for the laser cruise control. i was looking at that and all it is is a plastic piece so that there is no obstruction between the laser cruise control and the grill.

UL's with PCS use radar cruise control located behind the grill.

UL's without PCS use laser cruise control located in bumper.

thanks for clarifying waijai, i think i have the radar cruise control. i also have something on the bumper at the bottom to the left of the license plate but i dont know what that does.

Can someone please tell me why some LS430's have a a square plastic looking like thing in front of the "L" on the grill?

Looks very nice, we just got 6" of snow today so the LS which is gold, is salt white today.
My rims would never look that good in Chicago. The salt takes the chrome off in a year or two.

thanks for all the compliments...hopefully will post more pics when i get completed with the interior cleaning and conditioning. im anxious to see how much of a difference it makes in the color of the leather. i believe i have ecru interior but it looks kinda dirty now. will also be doing minor lighting upgrades to the headlights, foglights, and interior map, reading and door lights (led upgrade).
