Welcome! Unfortunately, this is a not-too-uncommon issue with LS430s having laminated side windows (custom luxury and ultra luxury trim levels in the U.S.). I believe someone once said that replacement laminated glass is something like $800 per window (ouch). I don't know if you can replace the laminated glass with non-laminated side window glass.

I have the same similar white spot on the rear pass window at the bottom. I have 20% tint and can see it from outside the car, it makes it look like the tint is not sticking in that spot. Was thinking bout maybe some tint on outside of window but that won't last long.

hi thanks for all your replys, mine is bad on 3 windows, and its only had 2 owners and over £12000.00 over the past ten years been spent with lexus dealer hedge end in hampshire u.k the will NOT admit its a fault so they wont repair it under warranty, it looks a mess , the manager at the dealers in hedge end said well its an old car ! i had a 50 year old zodiac and the windows did not go a milky white !i have just ordered off ebay some alarm stickers to go over the mess ,on a car costing over £60k i would have expected lexus to issue a recall if yours is as mine e/mail lexus head office and see what a reply you get ,it is a manufacturing fault , if you want to be my friend i am on facebook william barry sansome

I have a similar spot on the bottom of the rear passenger side window. It is one a couple inches long and in the center of the window. From what I understand, it is a small separation between the two panes of glass. (The windows are dual-paned to reduce outside noise.) It has never gotten worse and can barley be seen because of the tint so I don't worry about it.

hi the de-laminating starts on all my 3 side windows at the bottom in the middle , it was spotted at 90k and again was getting worse at 100k lexus will not admit the fault all hedge end lexus dealer have said to me (well it is an old car ! )yes it is a 2001 model with full service history at hedge end and it could be a future classic so in 20 years time all lexus ls 430 will all have white windows ? that is unless you replace at great cost and then they will go again, i am starting to sound like a grumpy old man sorry for that , i would be haqppy if lexus replaced the windows with just normal glass , if your windows have started to go white ,it will only get worse, cheers baz in bolton tel 01204521185

Hmmm. Bottom edge means it's in the middle of the glass (glass extends inside the door, down to the regulator mechanism). I wonder if it starts at the edge of glass and propagates up to where you can see it? Or does it just appear in the middle of the glass? I hoped it started at an edge where there might be something we could do to prevent it or slow it down.
