Default My LS430 talks to me

Ok, this is the third time in six months my car has talked to me and I'm not crazy. At random, with no particular pattern and with NAV off, I will hear (preceeded by a soft tone) "not ready..." in a soft spoken womens voice. The first time, I thought someone was talking but attributed it to the radio. The second time, my wife was in the car and I said "...did you hear that?" - she said she heard nothing. But, today, as I was quietly driving out of the post office parking lot, I definitely heard "not ready..." Now, for a man to hear "not ready" by a female, you would think its that time of the month again. So, that's the same feeling I get when I hear this. Thankfully, I have lived long enough to not let this ruin my self confidence. Anybody else have this happen to them and their Lexus?

Wow, that's a new one. Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a while? Then again, who knows what she'll start saying when you reconnect the leads.

As expensive as normal Lexus service is, I wouldn't want to think about how much a factory trained Lexus psychiatrist would charge to diagnose problems that originated in your car's childhood.

one of my good buddies used to refer to this as BJ week ^ ^ ^

this still makes me laugh like 8 years after first hearing it... we were all single at that time though.

Maybe you hit the "voice button" on the left side of the steering wheel with your knee by accident.

Check for any fluid leaks under your car, maybe she is "not ready".
Try disconnecting your negative battery terminal for half an hour and reconnect it. See if there is any changes. Your radio stations, nav markers and addreses will be lost.

Update: thanks for all the funny comments. I've changed the language in NAV to French to see if she is coming from this source...at least it will sound more exotic next time she speaks.
