05 headlight auto leveling on non-UL
I searched and found lots of threads on headlight and height sensor.
I need help with headlight auto leveling.
I changed the battery recently and since then headlight will not go up-and-down initially when I turn on the headlight. Is there a fuse(s) that I should check? Headlight turns left and right as I make turns, but will not go up and down when I ascend/descend or go over speed bumps.
Thank you for your help.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

tangy, this is the sequence:
1. unplug both battery terminals
2. turn the headlight switch to "ON" position
3. connect the battery terminals and watch and make sure driver side headlight adjusts up-and-down.
If it doesn't work, repeat disconnect-connect sequence until headlight resets to default setting.

Hi John,
Thank you for the instructions, I tried tonight but it did not work for me, maybe mine actually broke when I changed the battery. But I was able to adjust the level up to the right position manually. Thanks anyway.

Were your personal setting erased, like seat memory, radio station, etc after you changed the battery? All my personal settings were erased.
If your headlights sweeps left to right, and vice versa when you make turns while driving then your headlight motors are fine.
Perhaps you should keep the battery unplugged longer (???)
Good luck.

I think swing left to right is a different motor/gears than up/down adjustments. Do you have the owners manual? That shower location of all fuses.
As far as the jumping up and down this looks like a poor connection back at the height sensor on the rear axel, possibly faulty sensor.
