I've had 'wood' for 2 weeks now!!
So I've had my LS430 for 2 weeks now (you guys will feel sick at how little I paid for it), and I vowed the first thing I'd do is get rid of the wood panels in the interior.
I got the centre console done last night, but I'm having trouble working out how to remove the wood from the door panels. Anybody know if it is clipped/screwed/glued on?
Pic of what I've done so far:

Its called a PogoAlert+, basically a GPS/Radar/Laser speed camera detector.
Its only there temporarily until I can find a better place for it to go. The issue is the interior of the LS is so well designed that it looks out-of-place no matter where i place it lol.

Different strokes... Certainly a unique look. Nice work.

Thanks. Yeah I noticed by reading some previous threads that covering up the wood is generally frowned upon But I'm not even 30 yet, so wood is far too mature for me and I had a roll of Di-Noc just going to waste from my previous car - a supercharged IS300
Sorry! The title is intentionally deceptive in order to gain more views lol. Thx mate

Not my cup of Orange Pekoe. I've had wood for six weeks now. I will be 50 in 2 weeks. I should read the instructions on the prescription......... Your craftsmanship does look great!

The LS interior is a beautiful place to be. I intend to keep my car for quite some time, so once I develop the taste for wood trim I can just strip of the CF wrap and enjoy the car all over again
I'll have to get a better shot of the wrap though as it does look a bit off-colour and contrasted compared with the rest of the interior. In reality it looks more subtle.

I personally prefer the wood (especially the darker Ultra wood), but looks like you're doing a nice job on the wrap!
Took me a minute to figure out you / your LS is in the UK and RHD!
I think I'd have selected a slightly darker CF or even one with a little more brown/ bronze in it to better match the face of the radio, but I suspect your flash makes the color difference more than it is in person.

Yeah iPhone camera in pitch black doesn't take a good photo. I'd be quite tempted to try some sort of black brushed aluminium finish once i get fed up of the CF

Great work. I personally don't like it. I think you will get tired of it quickly. At least it will be easy to go back and it wasn't a destructive mod. The LS is a living room on wheels and thats how I would want to keep it. Don't IS-F it out. It gives the car an identity crisis and bastardizes the car. (With all due respect of course)

That look is not to my taste. I hope it all peels off cleanly so you don't destroy the resale value of the car.
