Default Could these issues be related? Fuel Tank Inlet + Check VSC

Started having trouble adding gas to my 2003 LS430. Issue would come and go so I kept putting off dealing with it. (Bad owner...I know.) Then I started having the Check VSC warning pop up. I see that both of these issues are fairly common...my question (if anyone has experience in this regard) would be, is there any way that these two things could be related or is it simply coincidence that both have popped up at the same time?

I should mention that with the check engine I was also getting a misfire (with the corresponding p0357, p0307, and p0430 codes). I'm going to replace the fuel inlet regardless, but I'm wondering if I'm likely to have catalytic converter issues as well (which is a whole different ballgame for cost I imagine).

Yes, the VSC (vehicle stability control) may illuminate with such an issue (even a loose gas cap), but other issues could cause it to illuminate such as computer failure, or ABS not functioning properly, or electronic issue, or sensor failure, and etc....

Gotcha. Well, replacing that part seems to be an easy fix so I ordered the part and will start there. I need it replaced regardless, but hopefully that'll do the trick.
