Question Replacement Brake Rotors?

I went to the dealership to get a sensor replaced four hundred and twenty dollars later the guy was telling me i needed new brakes. He said if i bought them myself they would have no trouble installing them. I have been looking for black drilled and slotted brake rotors and can not find them anywhere plus i want to buy a quality product and don't know who to trust. Anyone know what the best brake rotors are for the LS and if you can get the crossed drilled and slotted?

Try R1concepts... Go for 'premium' line rotors there. They are ok. Slightly worse metal compared to originals, but they will work and cost little less than toyota ones.

So what are the best replacement rotors? The stocks? What about EBC, PowerSlot, DBA or Rotora?

I have generic NAPA rotors on my rears and R1 Concepts slotted rotors up front. Got the R1s for pretty cheap and I've been satisfied with them so far - haven't noticed a huge improvement over stock, but they do add a bit of curb appeal. If I recall correctly, R1 Concept d/s rotors are machined from Centric blanks, the same company that also supplies rotors to StopTech.

I got the regular Brembo rotors from tirerack for my LS400 and put them on myself (if I can do it, it ain't hard). Not sure I see the point of slotted/crossdrilled on a 430 unless it's for looks, like the other guy said.

Had drilled/slotted rotors on my LS400. I don't recommend them, esp if you live in FL. They'll warp quickly in the rain under normal braking. I'm content with the solid stock rotors. Just buy better pads...
