I think it's version 10.1. The 01 uses generation 2/3.

Lexus releases the new versions in the fall of each year. The first two digits indicate the year of release, i.e., 10 indicates a release date of 2010.

Just to confirm..........is it true that the latest versions do not have the override feature built in?

I don't think the yearly versions have much to do with that. It is my understanding that the yearly versions merely update the maps and points of interest. You can preview the map changes on the My Lexus web site. I waited a couple of years before updating mine, as they were building a new freeway nearby and wanted it included. Purchased after finding it was included.

Correct. The back-door override feature was removed after either the 6.1 or 7.1 version. The latest version does get rid of the 'I agree' screen automatically.

think i found my answer... Looks like NONE of the LS430s have GEN5 or GEN6 hardware. So, the "I Agree" statement will still be there after the upgrade.

Not true! I recently updated my 02 Ls430 UL to the 10.1 You still have the "I Agree". The only difference Maps and POI's are updated. That is all.

The VaisTech SL2Vi unit removes the "I Agree" screen automatically forever. Almost worth the money just for that feature.
