difference between air shocks? - please advise!
Due to problems with my air shocks L-front and R-rear, I have ordered new ones.
Instead of the ordered 48010-50140 I have received 48010-50130.
Also ordered 48080-50140 and received 48080-50130.
Can anyone inform me about the difference between the ...-50130 and ...-50140 items?
Can I use them mixed? If not, why not?
Thanks for your help!
Jac

Front L and R are the same.
Rear L and R are different.
But that is not what I was worrying about.
I would like to know the precise difference between "the same" shocks with codes ending at -50130 and -50140.

Would that mean that the damping characteristic is different or could it mean something entirely different?
According to the supplier there is no practical difference. ...140 was ordered and ...130 was supplied by Toyota.
I have put the question to my (not-so-local) Lexus dealer. Let's see what he comes up with. I did not order them there because they were about 60% more expensive as in the UK...
Toyota might be dumping old stock

That's the only info i can dig up.
Another piece, is that euro shocks are about 15% more expensive for some reason...
Really interested, what your dealer will answer, as in my source, the usa shocks are like 200usd cheaper than 'euro' ones.
