Timing Belt Squeaking
I have a 2002 LS 430, UL, with 145k, timing belt started squeaking a few months ago, I thought it was due to cold weather, but now that its warm out, it still squeaks at start ups. I had timing belt and water pump replaced about 30k miles ago. Anyone else have this problem? or know how to eliminate it?

Is it the timing belt or the serpentine accessory belt you can see? The serp belt is the one that usually makes noise due to one of the components or idlers going bad (or getting out of alignment).

A bit of rubber grease on the belt can often work wonders. A small smear across a few inches of belt before starting it up will often cure a squeak due to dirt or polished areas on an older belt.
Adjusting the belt tension manually is not possible on this model, the tensioner is self-adjusting. If it is worn out and not holding enough tension on the belt, this can cause a squeak also. My money's on the belt being dirty,or worn. Cheaper place to start regardless...

My 2001 has it for fist 10 minutes or so after startup. There was a TSB on this from Lexus. I involves changing to a newer design of belt. I don't know if it applies to your year but 2001 is pretty close to 2002 so might be same problem.
The cheapest diagnoses and fix might be to simply change out the belt.
