Default LS430 Fixed

Just bumping this up... I had water on the passenger floor and following the instructions I blew compressed air in both lines and no more water leaks..

Thanks

So, once the contents are all in the evaporator, it cleanses it and drains out the other tube, along with excess collected mousture. It was VERY effective. Then the second step with the deodorizer through the cowl made a difference as well. And again, was not very expensive. Toyota marketed nothing to me. I found it on my own and went and picked up. Instead of hating on my thread, how about considering it may be helpful.

The kit is licensed and sold by Toyota. I seriously doubt Toyota would put their name on anything and sell it though their parts departments if it was a gimmick.
Does anyone know which drain hole to spray the foam cleaner into the passenger side or the driver side? I plan on doing this as my 01 LS430 has that funky mold smell. I tried half a can of Lysol directly into the blower after removing the cabin filter with vent on HI and no recirculation . That only masked the mold smell for a week.

Does not matter. Both go to the same place.

Lysol does not work. 3/4 bottle of 70% rubbing alchohol via a spray bottle works great.

Does the alcohol go straight into the blower and how long does it last before the smell returns?

Correct, I have not had any return in odor. Blower set to max, outside air, AC off, slowly spray it down where you feel maximum suction right below the wiper and you will see it start drain out the tubes. Spray the whole bottle down. I leave the doors open as the alchohol smell is strong but quickly evaporates. Then turn the AC on for a few min. This was done about 6 months ago.

This information is genius. Washing the evaporator core with alcohol. I just used the whole 32oz bottle of 70% alcohol, put it straight into the blower on HI thru the glove box. This sure beats going underneath the car and is cheaper too.
