Default Front door speakers on a ml ls

What size and impedance should the replacement speakers be on a mark Levinson ls430? I'm getting ready to replace them too but am scared to do so based on past threads that got me to buy an incorrect subwoofer already. Please tell me what I need to do to replace the door speakers with a minimum of fuss. Just the main speakers in the front two doors. Thanks in advance.

For all the extra hassles in trying to get the correct door speakers to both fit with the proper Ohms, I bit the bullet and got the OEM speakers from Ebay.

OEM is the only way to go.

Id really rather not replace junk with junk if I can help it. Do we know the size, wattage and ohms of the door speakers at least?

it's proprietary... 6ohm as i remember and mounting is proprietary as well... off the shelf speakers (16in i think it is but may be wrong) won't fit without fabricating some king of adapter.
i went with oem, 100usd is not too high of a price for lexus quality...

tweeters tho is hella expensive and almost unaccessible...

Lexus quality, when it comes to speakers, is garbage. Theres no way theyre 16 inch speakers though. And the cheapest Ive seen thus far was about $270 a pair, nowhere near $100. Id be glad to spend more, but only on something better, not the garbage Lexus and ML try to pass of as decent speakers.

I read somewhere that front doors are 6.5" and rear doors are 6.75". Some googling or call to Lexus parts would confirm that measurement. The ML doors are nominally rated at 2-9 ohm so somewhere around 6-8 ohm speaker would work fine. Thing to avoid in replacement speakers given the ML amp is any 2 or 4 ohm speakers. That might overly stress the amp which seems designed for high ohm speakers.
