2002 ls 430, 120,000 miles,driver head light low beam works sometimes, make work for a few days, then out , high beam always works switched bulb from driver to pasenger bulb works , fuses ok, think its ballast, 900.00 at dealer, i need to get to the ballast to match part no. to ones i have found on ebay, where do i find the ballast, or any other things i should do before ruling out ballast.

Belive it or not, there is a ls 430 hid light ballast on san antonio tx craigslist for 100ish right now.. Under the auto parts section type ls430 or lexus ls parts.. Maybe you can get a steal if you contact him... hope that helps

Any of the second gen densos/koito also known as the denso slim should work fine. you can get them on ebay for pretty cheap. however it's pretty hard to pull the socket plug out from the headlight and replace it with the new one.
