Make room gang, Im bringing this one back from the dead.
Bought a 05 430 last week at auction with 28k miles Its hurt but should clean up nice with a little effort. It should be here Friday for me to lay eyes on it but I am excited already. I forgot to save the interior pics but it does have nav. The service records pulled from Lexus shows 4 pages of scheduled maintence since new with nothing major wrong and even a full service preformed 300 miles before it was wrecked. I am dying to know what options this car has... Paid $9500 see attached pics
Wish me luck!

It looks rough to me, even the rear door isnt lining up. I just hope you build it as a driver instead of trying to profit off it. Did someone bid 9400 or was that the starting bid?
I dunno how you plan on rebuilding it but I already see some parts im interested in- Chrome trim on driver side rear door sill, and drivers door lock actuator. If you get your new parts complete let me know.

Judging from the pic, it already seems like you're going to need completely new suspension components for the crashed front left wheel as it's facing a diff direction than the front right wheel. You might even need a new front axle. Hopefully there was no frame damage. I only saw the first pic and though no f-ing way this was 9500!!! Good luck with the project. Those hours of hard work will make driving it that much more enjoyable.

good luck man,, from previous wrecked car refurb threads i've read it really seems like a crap shoot before you know how much work will actually be needed. i'm sure it will look good after wards just hope it doesn't hurt the wallet too bad to get there.

It's not really a losing proposition. Worst case, the project would be abandoned, and the car will get parted out,and the cost would be recouped.
It's been hit well, sure, but there's nothing that can't be repaired. I don't know what they go for in the US,but here, that car's worth at least $45k AUD in decent nick.
Even if the US value is half that,he has to spend over $10K USD on the repairs before it's getting close to the car's normal value. The only variables are what the parts will cost, and how much time he can put into it to get the job done.
If I owned a panel shop, and came across something like that,I'd fix it too.

Yep, makes sense to repair and restore rather than junk it if economically viable. I wonder if the car was totalled with the level of damage - doesn't seem like enough.

I do not repair them myself but I have several friends that own shops that do so getting the work done right and at a fair price is not difficult. I have been looking for one of these for quite some time and this was the first one I have seen that was not totally creamed in the front, rear or side with a direct hit. From the pictures it will need a front knee assemby (suspension), front fender, both doors and the front air bags. Only downside is this car will have a rebuilt title as it was considered totaled. However, my buddy that does this every day said that many times that is the case because the insurance company figures everything on new brand new parts so prices can add up quickly. Used OEM doors can be had for $500 to $600 each and the suspension is around that as well. You guys are 100% right about it being a crap shoot hence the reason I ended the post with a "wish me luck!" I plan on fixing it right and driving the wheels off this thing. svlexus, I will let you know on the parts and the bidding started around $8700....

You are gonna need alot of Bondo
Wonder why that was considered a total loss.
Here is a site for replacement parts.

I used to do body work, and that doesn't look like a lot of work. Make sure you replace everything of the front suspension components, even the brake pads and rotors. There will be slight bends or cracks that won't be noticeable to eye. GL on the build and keep us posted.

I'd say get a full aftermarket wide body kit instead of replacing with factory parts. Could be cheaper and could be a cool custom ride afterward. Suspension damage could be iffy but its nothing money can't fix.
