Question Major Service Time

When do I need to do a major service for my LS430, 2005 Doing 60K now?
By major service I mean Timing Belt and all sort of things around it including water-pump and all..

I am planning to do a minor service and change now all kinds of filters, Engine,Differential,Gear oils, Brake Disks & pads, couple of bushes and mounts then keep the major up til reaching 100K cause the car is running smooth now and my driving is not rough as I tend to take care of my vehicles.

Took it to the dealer for a normal check up having maint req coming out on the dashboard and they advised to do a full service (minor & major) but it costs around 2700$ which is pretty too much for me at the moment.

Any Advice..

Every six years / 90K miles is what is printed in the maintenance guide. I can see abiding by both conditions in hot, dry climates. My 05 spent most of it's life in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. My car only has 47K miles on it and I think I can push the major service beyond the 6 year point. I'll discuss it with my dealer on my next visit.

would agree,, I have 57K on my 05 and the serpentine belt does not have one crack in it,, car is in a 70 to 80 degree environment when not being drove,,

To me do small stuff first as your car still not reach that 90K major tune up yet. For example, check air/cabin filter (trunk filter if you have a UL model) and spark plug. When doing oil change, ask them to inspect your brake........save the timing belt, water pump, transmission...ect till 90K or more.

Yes, do NOT go to that dealer anymore ! I would not trust them !

That dash light light comes on to remind people to change their oil, not to do a $2,700 service !
