Actually, I just found out that everyone on this forum has won an automatic online lotto for $50 million a piece. All I need is your social security and bank account information.
My friend tried selling his laptop on Ebay once. He was asking like $1100 or so and some Nigerian guy asked if he could have it shipped to Egypt and he would pay my friend $5000...obviously he couldn't turn down such an offer!

LS430 or find another car model entirely. No way I'd gamble on a 2007 LS. As stated many times in this thread, the quality has decreased somewhat since the LS400 and the early 460s were probably the bottom of that slide (though the overall fit and finish of the 460 as a whole does not impress me). Even the early 430s had some issues, but by 2006 they were rock solid.

To quote the chief designer of the Lexus LS 460, Yo Hiruta: "The ratio of design cost to total car cost is higher for Lexus than for other cars."
My 2005 LS 430 was an excellent car, but i haven't found anything to be better on the LS 430 compared to my LS 460.
Just a few examples of what i noticed comparing just the quality differences between the LS 430 to the LS 460:
Timing belt vs timing chain
Mark Levinson Premium Sound 11-speaker 240 watts vs Mark Levinson Reference Surround 19 speaker 7.1 architecture 450 watts
6 speed vs 8 speed transmission
Machine assembly, machine paint vs Hand Assembly of every engine, hand-sanded paint process
Navigation Screen vs Navigation Screen on the LS 460 is much crisper to read and much higher resolution
etc.
As long as you enjoy your car thats all that really matter. To each their own.

19 speakers on the ML system in a LS460? I can just imagine what the crossover array looks like to blend 9 speakers per side plus a sub. That's hilarious.
Maybe by the 2014 LSXXX, the ML system will have 27 speakers. After all Mo is mo'betta.

Pretty sure the Maybach has like 22 or so in the back alone! Idk, I am not really picky with my stereo system and would find it hard to really tell a difference. I suppose it will be pretty cool if you could receive HD satellite TV channels in your car, then it will be like a mobile home theater system

By contrast, the last couple of years of the LS 430 were some of the most trouble-free cars Lexus has built. They are indeed "rock solid." Despite being older and having more miles on them, Lexus dealers just don't see nearly as many of the later LS 430s coming in with problems, like they do with the 07 LS 460s. Finally, with the release of the new LS body style in 07, the 05 and 06 LS 430s really went down in price - you can get a LOT of car for the money. (Last month, I bought my 05 LS430 Certified Pre Owned with 60k miles on it. It has the Modern Luxury pkg. + SmartAccess and 18" alloys. I paid $24,500! - SUPER clean inside & out).
Just my 2 cents worth, but the opinion is backed by somebody who works at a Lexus dealership and is honest with me about what he sees every day...

Another thing I don't like about the new Lexus cars (2010 RX, LS460, etc.) is the hard disk audio system. We all know that hard disks crash a lot sooner than conventional CD/DVD players. And if the hard drive crashes out of warranty, it's like $5K to replace, as you have to replace the entire unit vs. only the CD changer. You can't just buy a laptop hard drive and install it, as you don't have the proprietary software!
I got my late '05 UL CPO w/ 21.5K mi on it one year ago for $36K. It was (and still is) absolutely mint. Sticker on it was $74K! Incredible value for the $$, IMHO.

Personally i have not even used the hard disk yet. It's not going to crash if you are never using it.
