Is a reman 86280-0w040 amp as good as 86280-0w041?
My 2001 ls430ul Levinson amp went out and I need a replacement.
I searched here and know about the 0W041 replacing the 0W040.
I found a remanufactured 0w040 at Electronics Masters in Duluth Ga.
They tell me the reman 0w040 is same as 0w041.
My question is does this sound accurate? I know the 0w040 had problems including static, etc.
The price with one year warranty is $495. They will only warranty if I bring the car in so they can
check it out first (at no charge) to verify nothing else is wrong.
I can order the 0w041 reman from Sewell for more money, but is it worth it?
Thanks in advance for any insight on this or perhaps other avenues to explore.

Have you considered acquiring at an auto recycler for less $$? Remanufactured? What does that mean? A blown amp that was repaired, or simply one that was removed from a wreck? I'd ask before buying.
