Default Boring (stability control)

Probably the most boring thing about the LS is the stabilitrac which inhibits you from throwing the rear wheeels around like the G37 I test drove. Where is the switch to turn it off..ha ha!

There are plenty more boring things about an LS...

Neither am I! I was very bored driving my car previous to my LS, the ES350.

Depending on year, but the TRAC or VSC button will turn off the wheels and allow you to burn and slide as you want.

I can't wait to turn the electronic Nanny switches off and go drift my LS thru some turns around the neighborhood. Drifting an LS has to feel at least a little like being in mobile-home hit by a tornado.

Hopefully a little more controlled than that... maybe like the Titanic towards the iceberg?

Everything is going to depend on your tires too and how much it's going to give. I've done a spin coming out of this left turn at work and the tires didn't allow for too much drift and the recovery was pretty fast.

It wasn't very enjoyable actually, but maybe I'm just not too daring with my LS.

You have to think one Lexus engineer is showing your post around the shop yelling, see someone would want the car to go sideways, told you so!

In a parallel universe, there is a complaint on the G37 forum, Damn it, every time I hit the gas I can hear the engine, why can't this be like the LS430 I test drove.

I tend to get bored with cars rather quickly. I'll see how the LS430 does. So far, so good (after 5 months).

It's a good thing my Subaru Outback isn't my primary driver. That little 4 cylinder would get old quickly. It should do fine in the winter and carrying messy stuff, though.

I don't need my LS to go sideways, Paul Walker.

If you want a car that will burn the tires off... Buy a Corvette.

Maybe G37 you test drove had bold tires.

want a cheap fun car to slide... get a 91-93 nissan 240sx. you will spend anywhere between $Free-$1200, add coilovers ($400-$1000), add locking differential ($300-$800)= fun
