Default Park assist after battery change

My battery died on me and I left the car with no battery for more than a day.
Today checked that the old battery was really dead (was giving 10.3V under load so really dead). Got a new battery and connected it up. All seemed good. Lost the time and some other stuff but no panic.

When I drove off today i noticed the Park Assist coming on when I just pull up at the traffic lights. It. Beeps and show a bar at the front. When I got to a parking I got my wife to walk around the car. All the sensors work but it keeps beeping from the front. Also when I Enable the Park Assist with the button I get a long beep.

This all worked fine before the battery swap. Any ideas?

Well, mine always beeps one long beep when I push the button. So that sounds normal. Are you absolutely certain there is nothing on any of the front sensors? Mine behaved similarly due to debris being on the sensor.

Does it perhaps say "Check Sensor" on the display?
Mine did that when a front sensor was malfunctioning: in my case the paint was chipped on the sensor.

No error messages. I also checked in the display function (Key in Acc, 3 times lights Off to sidelight whilst keeping option pressed) and could find no errors.

I just cleaned all the front sensors and inspected them for damage. I could not see any issues but as soon as I go into drive it starts indicating an obstacle dead ahead. It displays one or two bars. Sometimes it goes quiet for a moment but then it starts up again.

These are typically the jobs I want to tackle myself as I think a visit to the shop for this will be too expensive.
Can anyone give me any pointers on the best way to make the correct diagnoses?
Do I need ODBII reader/scanner if I want to tackle this sort of job?
Is it a big job to take off the front bumper if I need to diagnose the old fashioned way?

Thanks for the info. I guess what I really need is access to the workshop manuals.
I did a bit of searching and it looks like the best way to get access is to subscribe to the the Lexus Technical Information System. Is this the best way?

Just ordered a Techstream interface cable. Hopefully then I will be able to see which sensor is having problems.

Update:
Got the TechStream cable and I ran a heath check. After that I went to parking sensors and managed to see the Fr Left come on a few times. Strangely now it does not seem to show the problem anymore? Anyway when I took a very close look at the front left I can see a small chip on the sensor. If the problem comes back I will put a spot of paint on it.
