They have to be kidding. Jag x type as number one most reliable car? That discredits the entire article. It might be number one on a list of most unreliable, outdated and cheaply built cars, but that is it.

I don't think the writer was ranking it in number order, just the top ten (his opinion) vehicles in general. Out of that group, not knowing the Vauxhill or Omega, I'd have to say if it was ranked, the LS430 is tops for sure.

Audi A6, Absolutely beautiful looking car. When it runs right it is quite fun to drive. Great interior, very elegant, it offers all-weather AWD capability, great overall refinement, and cool sophistication. On the whole, But i'm pretty fond of the Lexus LS430. The broad seat doesn't clamp in place like a BMW or Mercedes sport seat does.
Remarkable balance between luxury and performance, Would take the Lexus [LS 430] over the Infiniti [Q45] on any cross-country drive. It is F16 of cars...
As long as you can afford this dream machine, you WILL want it once you test-drive it!

I'd liken the LS430 more to the B 777 of cars, a good looking, big, reliable, heavy, expensive, and very smooth riding land yacht. I love it.

U made my day, Funny but how immature...
If you really had a good look at this Jaguar X you would see how classy it is and how it will Bury dirt your talking about. The problem for you, you are living in the past and can't appreciate or afford this class of vehicle...
Look in the mirror and ask yourself truly, if you had the funds would you purchase the new Jag and you answer would be yes I'm am sure!
I drive LS 430 myself but Jag is one of the most beautiful cars ever designed. Author is talking about executives not warren buffett....
We have a saying here in Britain
For those who say they now do not want a Jaguar probably cannot afford one.
All of the negativity is by dreamers....keep dreaming and the day you can afford a vehicle of this caliber will be the day you will say "this is one awesome vehicle".

OK Jags are very reliable, its Lucas that sucks : )
You're right Jags have gotten lots more reliable. It was a joke. I was being seriously immature and also speaking based on years ago - no offense intended.

Even though I think F16 made a complete joke post, I'm going to reply anyway.
The only thing living in the past is the car itself. The X type was outdated and obsolete the minute it was introduced. There is no class to the vehicle. It just scream cheapness.
Ah, no. The answer would always be no. I can think of better ways to blow money then on a car that loses most of its value in the first few years of ownership.
I guess the car would be considered beautiful if were introduced in 1990, but otherwise its ugly and outdated.
That's right. I cannot afford the continuous repairs, down time, hassle and rental car expenses involved with owning a Jag.
I can easily afford a vehicle of this 'caliber'. Its called a Hyundai Accent.
