Default 01 LS430 UL Factory ML Nav system audio integration

Whats the best method to integrate aftermarket amplifiers and speakers to the factory ML Nav system? I know all the audio/A/C controls are part of the ML Nav system so I would probably leave that alone and add to it with aftermarket amps and speakers. Right now Ive heard the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 and AudioControl DQL-8 are the way to go. But was hoping someone with more experience could chime in. Also Im assuming there is no way to supply the stock nav with a video signal?

Thanks

Beat Sonic makes a kit too. I have Aftermarket Head unit / DVD player (with I Pod), Tru Technology amps, Hybrid Speakers (mids and tweeters) and Image Dynamics 10" subs and reverse camera working with the factory nav and climate controls in a 2001 LS430 UL. Everything works fine together. The only thing I lost was the volume control on the steering wheel. Beat Sonic kit works really good.

How it can be 'working really good' if you lost steering wheel controls ?

if the only thing you give up by installing aftermarket audio system is steering whee control, thats pretty good.

a co worker of mine has a nissan murano, he would have lost a/c control if he installed an aftermarket head unit.

its easy i did it not an issue navi and a/c still work.no beat sonic or kit need unless doing a double din. i just made a new harness from the after market radio to the output of the ml amp wires. thats it.

just don't use the steering controls. to gain i pod, dvd and better sounding system is worth not using the steering controls. (just in case it gets crazy like that other thread about replacing the ml system. my stereo sounds better to me and i really don't care what ml purest think.)

I like the set up. Can you provide more information on where to get it and how it was done? Thanks.
