detector invisicord and blendmount for ls
Has anyone gotten these products which allow you to mount your detector on the rear view mirror and splice into your autodimming headlite wires. No more hangin wires and cigarette liter use.

I don't think the blendmount will fit. I have one on my Tundra and love it, but don't think the stalk on the LS mirror is big enough / shaped correctly to have it connect.
I'd love for someone to prove me wrong! I've already got it hardwired, but would like to get the mount as well.

Another brand I've looked at

Here's the one in my Tundra. I like not having the suction cups and I can put up a window screen to obscure the fact that I have the radar detector still sitting right behind it.

I thought radar/laser detectors were pretty much useless these days since the general use of the newer technology narrow beam instant on laser speed guns. Hope you guys aren't fooling yourself with false sense of security with ineffective detectors.

Absoltely incorrect, at least in the areas I travel. Mine gives me great heads up on state police gunning speeders nearly every single trip on the highway and often in town...
I certainly don't go zipping around recklessly, but a few moments of warning before rolling up onto a speed trap is very helpful to drop down a couple of mph.

I will call them today. My experience is even with laser you will pickup bouncing signals off other cars. Kinda chancey to drive at night and/or alone not in a pack. You get to know roads and areas to be extra alert for.
Sounds like an xmas gift I can use!

Bumping this thread up to see if anyone has found a product that fits the LS430 mirror stalk for a radar detector mount.

I have kinda been turned off by the cost! But knock on wood been speeding away safely having fun. I read an article about the LS having a windshield however which makes radar detectors harder too use. My windshield has been replaced by previous owner.

I just ordered a blend mount for my 2006 LS430 today. I will be the person to bite the bullet. I'll let you know how it works later this week!
I have a passport 9500ix, works great for me. I will get chp radar almost a mile ahead sometimes. Good device.

Thanks for biting the bullet, let me know. I have the 9500ix also and it makes driving so much funner when you do not have to worry about cops. I am often at least 15 over city and hwy, carefully looking for other cars and cops and almost 100k ticket free miles. They do not use laser mcuh in my area and I am very careful at night and leading the pack. I read some site we have a windshield which is more difficult for radar units to work also.
