Default Check engine and VSC

My 2001 LS430 shows check VSC on the dash and check engine, upon scanning the codes they are as follows P0440, P0441, P0446. Can anyone help fix these problems as the VSC and check engine lights are on?

These codes commonly are caused by a leaky or improperly installed fuel tank cap. Try re-install or tighten the fuel tank cap, then reset the DTC (either with your OBDII reader, or by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes). This should resolve the problem. If not, you may have to replace the fuel tank cap.

If you are pressed for money try the gas cap ~$23 OEM on ebay. Better idea is to also check all your hoses in the engine bay for cracking, holes, or leaks. While you're at it change your PCV valve ~$5.99 auto parts store. If you still can't get it to clear or stay off once reset do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the techstream with the cable. I think its cheap if you look around. Mine was, and its version 12 or something. With techstream you can test things like your evap valve, reset the code, see code fault data when it came on, and look at the raw data, post it on here to get more help.

I have recently changed the PVC valve as it was broken. The Fuel cap seems fine to me, but still having those codes. Do you still recommend to change the fuel cap? My mechanic says it might be the canister having the problem and its expensive to replace. What are your suggestions?
