What's next after your LS430: Poll
So in light of Tee's upcoming replacement choices and just for an overall interesting topic of discussion, what would be the most probable/desirable replacement for your LS430 if you had to replace it or chose to move on eventually?
I Know this was recently asked here also but I wanted to include a poll to guage how people were feeling. Hopefully I included enough realistic and interesting choices to choose from. Thanks guys

My replacement would be an '06 LS430 with lower miles than the 72M on my current 430. Just don't love the 460. But maybe a '10 LS460 in a few years. Plan to keep the current LS for many years!

I have no idea now. More important things on my mind now than a car. If I didnt have pressing issues it would either be a used LS430/460 or a used S-Class 550 Benz!!! That said, right now spending money isnt a priority with this economy and other issues upon me. Just happy I have a car I own now. HAHAHAHA! L.G.N.M

I frequently go test-driving and I'm always on the lookout for something that I think I'd like better, all thing considered. The "things" considered include a bunch of subjectives like comfort, quality, bang for the buck, enjoyment to drive, overall satisfaction with owning the vehicle, respect for the vehicle and its engineering and the company, expected reliability, piece of mind, and maybe some other even harder-to-quantify things. So far, I haven't found a better large luxury car for me than the LS430, which, I suppose, is why I've had two so far.

If my LS430 is wrecked or stolen in the next few years: another LS430.
If I keep my LS430 for the targeted 6-8 years and gas is still somewhat reasonable: LS460.

I'm driving my LS430 until the engine falls off the mounts, so in 20 years, who knows what Lexus (or anyone else) will have out there. Maybe hover cars or electric on mono-rail vehicles. Hard to say now what I would get, but if I had a premature destruction of my 430 in say less than 5 years, probably I would get a '04-'06 LS430 again, if the right one and mileage were available. By then, an '06 would be about 9 to 10 years old, and doubt there would be much under 80K miles, so it would be tough.
In foreseeable future, still looking for a MDX touring with NAV to replace my RX300.

The IS-F should just scrap the rear seats and save the weight and get extra cargo room.

If my car gets totaled before 2019 I'd find another 06 LS430. If it lasts till 2020, I will then be looking to by a more advanced technology vehicle at that point. I am hoping that by 2020 there are some significantly better choices in cars with various hybrid fuel and drive systems, perhaps all electric, fuel cells, or dilithium. Of course I am turning 55 this year so the current 06 LS has a decent chance of outlasting me.

Great food for thought in the responses here. Thanks everyone.
This list mentions many key things I considered in going with the LS. I hope when the time comes there will be something even better in all these categories or at least equal. I dread feeling the dissatisfaction of going backwards somehow.

It seems for many of us, we feel we've reached the pinnacle with our LS430s. It's almost like being the best golfer in the world and being married to a beautiful supermodel. What more could we want?

i am not super crazy about the 460 like i was about the 430 so if i waited a few years and then made a little bit more money i would prolly just get a first year 2013 ls whatever, or just a different lexus model. i am still waiting for the gs-f but we all know that will be a lot of $$$ also.
