Cool Selling my LS430 Ultra

I have the 01 LS430 with the Ultra Luxury Package. Only approximately 83000 miles on it. I think beautiful shape. About the only thing wrong with it is the rear sub seems to be blown or need repair. I've seen this car for sale as high as $15,000.00. Wanted anyone's opinion on what they think a proper price for this car should be. I want to get a smaller SUV or a Lexus GS Hybrid. Everyone says I am crazy to get rid of this car. I really understand the argument. They say the same thing about my 1997 Lexus LX450 I am getting rid of.

$15,000 is a lot of money to ask for the car, regardless of the condition or the miles on it. But I hope you can get that from a buyer.
Selling prices depend very much on where you're selling a car and the availability of that type of vehicle. I live in Toronto and there's no way you'll get that kind of money herefor the car .... as you could buy a 2010 LS460 for less than that !

Thanks Stu, I am torn on the price as I was was just going to ask around ten. Just have seen a couple that high. Do you think the Ultra Luxury Package makes that big of a deal to people. It does have some pretty neat features. Car must have been made to be chauffeured or something. Anyways, Thanks.

Price is definitely subjective.

How does it look? What's wrong with it? Is there service history? etc

Your Ultra Luxury package will be a plus for some but not for everyone. I bought the premium model because I didn't want navigation or air suspension.

The strongest thing about your car is the fact that it has less than 100,000 miles. Once a car hits a hundred thousand ..... it's hard to sell regardless of miles or condition.

Good luck with your sale.

I think car looks great. Elderly couple owned before me and I think Only had serviced by dealership where they bought it. I am two hours from the nearest dealership so if I want something done it is usually done locally. It has the almost white interior. Older couple even put down carpet on top of the original floormats. I don't think feet have ever touched the originals. I will try to post a picture.

I think $15k is a lot for a 2001. It might have lower mileage but it's still 18 years old and the pre face lift model. I like cargurus for approximate sales prices. You have to take that color into consideration as well which I think may limit the car to only some buyers. I personally like the color but it's a love it or hate it color.

Sharp car, jstout1! Pricing somewhat depends on just how quickly you want or need a sale. Also, being 2 hours from a Lexus store suggests that you are in a rural area and that might come into play on such a car.

If you are in no hurry and willing to advertise nationally, you could start a bit higher than $10,000. Otherwise, keep it under that figure.

Good luck!

Agree on the color. I actually wasn't a fan at first. It grew on me fast though

It's mostly stock. I have added a couple of things. 3D printed cupholders in front and back. Pioneer radio system. Memphis speakers, Wet okole seat covers for the front. Tinting. Maybe a few other things. Runs great but yes it has 238,000 miles on it. I hear the same thing all the time as the LS430. "Don't sell it, you will be sorry". LOL
Sorry,, this is a reponse to being asked about my LX450.

I have the same stable, an ls430 and an 80 series...
And I concur with all the people telling you that you're crazy to sell either!
