The front passenger door closer/auto locking mechanism on my 2003 LS430 Ultra is not working. The auto closing part works but the power lock part does not. The dealer tells me this is a one piece part and cost $963.00!!!!!
Does anyone know if this can be repaired or where I can get a used one?
The part number is:69030-50260.

check the forums, you can get the motor for $10 from ebay. It cost me $13 with shipping and 4 hours or so of my time, well worth it. It's a mabuchi motor or something like that. Take your time and everything will go back the way it came a part.

Man, similar problem with my car. Except all passenger doors don't auto lock.

I too have a front passenger door that fails to power lock, by remote or by armrest switch, so we have to lock and unlock that door alone manually. My dealer's service rep quoted me about $950. I have a 2003 LS430. Don't know if it's Ultra or not (so probably not). It's the only mechanical issue with the car after 110,000 miles. I wonder if I can just get the part and go to a "foreign car repair specialist" and pay him to install it.
