Default Body creaks in parking lots normal?

I have an 05 LS 430, clean title/carfax. When driving through a rough parking lot at low speeds I get lots of body creaks, not rattles but more of a creak/groan noise. Is this normal?

Is it common to have to lube up the sway-bar grommets on the LS to avoid noises like this?

Never heard anything like that from either of mine, but the terrain is pretty flat here in FL so it doesn't get put to the test too often. I do have a few storefronts with angling driveways that tweak the chassis when you pull in, but even there I've heard no noises from the car.... Can you tell where the noise is coming from? Is it around the door seals, or does it seem to be from the suspension?

Seems to come from door seals. Was very wet the past couple of days and now that its drying out a bit they have quieted back down. Is there something to lube the door seals then? The suspension makes some noise in the bombed-out parking lot where I work but that's probably normal. Silent on the road.

I get the same noises from my around my doors when going over speed bumps at an angle or driving into a driveway. I have an 06.

What gets me actually are the leather seats when they brush up against the plastic trims. As for noise from suspension or door seals, mine are fine thus far.

Are you sure it's not the door/window creak issue? I've solved that in a recent post.

It's a common problem. It is indeed from the cold & hard rubber door seals. I'm sure if you do some searching you'll find more on it. No one really had a solution for it, and I ended up putting up with it long enough for warmer weather to prevail.

I though about trying to wax the metal where the seal touches. Something to cause it to have less friction, but still seal properly.

Let me know if you come up with a working solution. If you sit in the back seat and close the door, Then just push up and down on the door, you'll hear the noises. Mine is most noticable on the drivers side, rear door.

It's body flex where the top of the door meets the body. All the Lexus models we have owned are troubled by this noise. I have never experienced this with any other car. I so hope they have fixed this problem with the new bodied LS. Our 2010 RX has it too, as did our 04 and 07 RX.

So Silicone spray fixes this? That's what it looks like from the Linked Window Noise thread

Is the door/window noise the same thing as when I rest my arm just below the window on the door and it creaks? I have that feature on both front doors, haven't tried the back.

No, the creak you hear when you rest your arm on the door is an altogether different creak. That one drives me nuts too. I see room for improvement for Lexus.

I believe that the arm resting creak comes from either a clip that holds the door together or a clip that holds the bottom window trim in place. It is very annoying at times but i can live with it. Wish i could just dunk the whole door in a vat of grease. I bet nothing would never squeak again. Problem solved!
