Default 02 ls430 tire pressure findings

hi all if any one has read my threads in the past you know i am extremely picky with my car, i love a lot about the vehicle from design and performance, i have a new set of michelin primacy mxv4 h rated and played with air pressures. in my humble opinion for what its worth with new rubber on our cars non sport suspension in the 17 inch wheel 33 pounds provides the best balance of ride and handling. i have an 02 with the 17 inch wheel option

Yup! 32-34 PSI is that sweet riding spot. And yes, LS is very picky about pressures! Too high - too stiff. Too low - wanders.

jabberwock i am a fan of your posts your a true car enthusiast, when my old set of tires were worn the 32 was better with the new set they have 10k on them 33 is really the best balance, also good for gas mileage, again i have 17 not the 18's

jabberwocky now if i can finally get people to understand that mobil1 extended performance 5w30 at walmart in 5 quart jogs is the best value and quality in oil without a debate on penzoil ultra then i have accomplished something.
pass the word on mobil 1 extended performance with a synthetic filter and change between 7500 and 8500, bulletproof...
cheers

33-34 PSI for the tires and Pennzoil Ultra in the sump. Smooth as silk.

I learned from my Touareg with TPMS and a readout on each wheel pressure varies on temps. Mine was all over the map in the winter it varied by 3-4 PSI at least.

should have cleared it up it was cold air pressure 33 not hot, again all dependent on quality of tire and how suspension is worn or not was just a baseline for a nice balance and a little better gas mileage vs 32
cheers

I have a 2002 LS 430 base model but with upgraded wheels practically new from a 2018 GS350 18 X8 but they’re wrapped in Michelin primacy MXV for 245/45/18. This tire size was not available in 2002 but everywhere that I searched, it says the psi should be at 33. However with the upgraded wheels that belong to a different Lexus, what is your opinion on the correct psi? I have standard suspension not air. Also what is the correct intervals between synthetic oil changes? I’d appreciate your insight. Thank you

Default Best Oil for 2002 LS430

I have consistently been using Synthetic 5W-30 from Costco (Kirkland Brand) which is Modil1 so both manufactured by ExxonMobil. $5.85/Qt for Mobil1 v $3.94/Qt for same product, I'm a value shopper! Several times a year, both Items will be on Coupon but even so, KS Brand is always the best dealeo. Get Mobil1 Filter off Amazon. Take both to Dealership so I only pay ~$30 for full oil change service (up from $18 pre-Covid) with all the added checks & fluid top-offs, ex my out of pocket for what I supply. Dealership wants >$100 for Mobil1 Oil Change.
