Default LS430 preservationists go buy this!!

I kind of shop these things as a hobby, and this just got posted yesterday, 8/24/16.
Go to Lexus of Oxnard, California
2006 UL edition, chrome 18's, nav, everything, 35k!!!!!!!!! Some pics are up. I am sure it will be over $20k, but worth it.
I am not looking for a UL, but this thing would be tough to beat

I'd rather spend $6-8k and keep the rest for the occasional maintenance and other stuff...it's just a car, after all.

they're asking $25k. problem is all the rubber is 10 years old so you're looking at new tires, timing belt, etc...

6-8k for what a car with 150k miles? Nice to have the vehicle when it is tight and right IMO. Rubber was replaced in 2013 they put on the OEM Dunlops. 25k ya mean 22,998

I didn't look at the car but I can tell you $25K is what I paid for my 2006 that had nav and 18's white with tan interior and it only had 20,800 miles on it from a lexus dealer. That was three years ago! I really don't see these cars bring over $20K anymore...

Wow, Florida, that is a great find.
I posted this because I have seen so many people on this site talking about how these may be one of the best cars made, and someone else on another string made a good point in saying that the window for great examples like this is closing, so this is essentially going back in time to get one like this. These cars are over, done, so 10 years is the newest you can get, you know.
So when you take that into account, I think the value goes a little beyond NADA and Kelley. I am sure you could offer $23k and get this car. If I had that and this was the exact car I wanted, I would be willing to pay a little premium to get this, especially from a Lexus dealer or a personally known private party. And I would certainly prefer this over any 2017 car at the $23k price point, no comparison.

This car is a very nice find at a premium price. Just understand it is still a 10 year old car, not a fresh car from the factory. Just be realistic and aware that you should still be putting money away for future repairs that all of us on this forum have experienced. Many may argue that you can get a substantially newer car for over $20,000 but we know these cars are of superior quality. If you purchase it, be absolutely positive there was never any paint work (other than bumper covers) anywhere on the car which brings down the value significantly. If you purchase it, good luck to you and enjoy.

I wonder if there's a Daewoo forum, and are there guys drooling over some low mileage Nubira or Lanos posted on Craigslist right now??

Somehow I find that amusing..

Never could really understand the person that pays way above the market to get a car like this as it won't be worth much once it becomes a daily driver.

You would just have to really be in love with it.
