Default Can I disconnect and remove the cd changer with no function loss

I have a mark levinson and nav model can I just remove the cd player but leave the radio? Will this cause any issues with the nav unit and controlls?

The radio is part of the cd assembly.

The tuner is actually in the trunk but the brains like tuning and volume control are in that assembly. When I replaced my nav electronics to make it look like a factory 9 inch android tablet there is a Y connector that connects in and out of the cd assembly. I don't use the cd and left it unpluged to cd to try and my AC did not work. There is a lot of communication with different parts of car inside. It is a big connector with a lot of wires.
